                                              com.rometools.rome.feed.rss.Channel channel,
                                              HttpServletRequest request,
                                              HttpServletResponse response)

        Parameters:
        model - the model Map
channel - the feed to add entries to
request - in case we need locale etc. Shouldn't look at attributes.
response - in case we need to set cookies. Shouldn't write to it.
        Throws:
java.lang.Exception - any exception that occurred during building
      • buildFeedItems

        protected abstract java.util.List<com.rometools.rome.feed.rss.Item> buildFeedItems(java.util.Map<java.lang.String,java.lang.Object> model,
                                                                                           HttpServletRequest request,
                                                                                           HttpServletResponse response)
                                                                                    throws java.lang.Exception
Subclasses must implement this method to build feed items, given the model.

Note that the passed-in HTTP response is just supposed to be used for setting cookies or other HTTP headers. The built feed itself will automatically get written to the response after this method returns.

        Parameters:
        model - the model Map
request - in case we need locale etc. Shouldn't look at attributes.
response - in case we need to set cookies. Shouldn't write to it.
        Returns:
the feed items to be added to the feed
        Throws:
java.lang.Exception - any exception that occurred during document building
