Configure a new Siebel web server Extension logical profile
Run these commands in the command prompt
siebel@siebelserver:/services/siebel/gtwysrvr/bin$ . ./cfgenv.sh siebel@siebelserver:/services/siebel/gtwysrvr/bin$ export RESOLV_MULTI=off siebel@siebelserver:/services/siebel/gtwysrvr/bin$ ./config.sh -mode enterprise
This will start the GUI configurator
Select 'Configura a New Siebel Web Server Extension Logical Profile' and click Next.
Enter the Siebel Enterprise name that was selected before. Click next.
Enter the folder path and click next.
When you select 'Collect Application-Specific statistics', you can see statistics in your siebel URL. You will have to specify the URL later.
Selecting no compression will make Siebel faster. If you have a lot of attachments or files in Siebel, you could consider compression.
Select this always. Web compression allows siebel to compress large files and make the speed faster
and takes up less space.
Timeout is necessary so that people do not login and forget to ogout. Timeouts kill dead sessions.
These values can be changed later in eapps.cfg file
These are the default port numbers. If your computer uses different ports, you can change them.
If your server has a Domain name, enter this. If you leave it empty, siebel will use the ip address.
Enter a login and password for guest user. This means anyone in your network can see the login page for siebel. GUESTCST is the default login used.
Leave this unchecked unless your network team asks you to.
Use the same login and password as for high interactivity. You can use any login/password and you can change this later in eapps.cfg file.
Enter a password and click next.
This screen will come if you have selected 'Collect Application specific statistics' before.
The default used is _stats_swe. This means if your siebel url is http://localhost/ecommunications_enu, then you can see statistics in http://localhost/ecommunications_enu/_stats.swe page.
Most use TCP/IP. Select and click next.

Click next or save response file and click next.
You should get a popup saying that the configuration is finished and the log file is in this folder.
