Siebel Open UI >  Gantt Chart and Calender errors in Siebel Open UI

Unable To Do Drag & Drop In Calendar IP 2016

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
------------------------------

We have upgraded to IP2016 recently. We are trying to drag & drop a Contact into the Calendar to create Contact call in Call Planning screen. Unable to drag the record. Earlier it was working fine (IP 15.6). We have the following User Properties too in the applet,

ClientPMUserProperty = EnableDragAndDropInList
EnableDragAndDropInList = TRUE

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------------
As the config worked in 15 Open UI, customer is expecting and needs it to work with 16 Open UI.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
On the view "LS Pharma HI Activity Calendar View
", it should be possible to drag Contacts (from Pharma Calendar Professional
List Applet), Accounts (from Pharma Calendar Account List Applet), and
Affiliated Contacts (from Pharma Calendar Affiliated Professionals List
Applet) onto the LS Pharma Activity HI Calendar Applet and have an
appointment created.

###Steps to Reproduce, including username / password & data used
1. Log into Siebel Pharma as SADMIN.
2. From the application menu, choose "Calendar"
3. From the screen menu, choose the first "Calendar" option (there are four
when logged in as SADMIN)
4. In the right applet, choose "Accounts", "Contacts", or "Affiliated
Contacts" from the dropdown list.
5. Attempt to drag and drop--it does not work at all.

Note that after adding to applet user props (EnableDragAndDropInList=TRUE and
ClientPMUserProp=EnableDragAndDropInList), the drag operation looks like it works but that
action record is not showing in the Calendar.

SOLUTION
The fix is available in IP 2016 Patch Set 15 (16.15) as well as IP 2017.

When attempting to use a Gantt Chart from HI Mode in Open UI, the application or chart appears blank.

There is a business requirement to use Gantt Chart(s) from a previous version of Siebel (HI Mode) in the Open UI application.

Is there a way to migrate Gantt Chart(s) from HI Mode to Open UI to retain any setup or customization that may have been created in HI Mode?

CAUSE
Known limitation with use of HI Mode Gantt Chart(s) in Open UI.

HI Mode Gantt Charts will not work in Open UI as all HI Mode Gantt Chart(s) were re-designed as ActiveX is no longer available.

If a customer has designed a custom Gantt Chart for Open UI, this also will not work for Open UI.

The result is the applet that was used in HI Mode will not be seen in Open UI.

SOLUTION
See the following details below for steps to implementing a Gantt Chart in Open UI:

1) In Open UI, locate and specify a Gantt Chart that is similar in nature to one that was used/needed in HI Mode
2) Configure/Customize as necessary to allow for intended functionality in Open UI
3) Test and validate that the Gantt Chart operates as expected

*NOTE* Attempting to migrate a Gantt Chart from HI Mode to Open UI will result in a blank screen or applet.

Is GanttChart is supported in Siebel OpenUI ? If not when this will be supported?

SOLUTION
The GanttChart is available from Innovation Pack 2014.

Note that a special applet was created for Open UI for the Siebel Field Service Dispatch Board : 'FS Dispatch Board Gantt Applet'.
