SYMPTOMS On : 15.5 [IP2015] version, Upgrade
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR ------------------------- Not able to open Pick applets/mvgs after upgrading siebel 15.5 from 8.1.1.11.10 in IE 11 and Chrome.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR ---------------------------- Pick applet/mvg can not be opened
STEPS ----------------------- The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps: 1. Login to Siebel 2. Navigate to a Detail View, with some MVG and Pick Applets 3. Open, close several MVG and Pick Applet, after some time Pick/MVG applet is not rendered correctly (see image bellow) and you are not able to close it.
Not rendered correctly
In order to get control back user needs to refresh the browser.
CAUSE
Bug 22549002 - NOT ABLE TO OPEN PICK APPLETS AFTER UPGRADING TO SIEBEL 15.5 INTERMITTENTLY has been created. According to it, issue was caused by System Preference settings "Alarm Manager Load Frequency" set to 999999 but maximum value allowed is 35790.
SOLUTION
For System Preference settings "Alarm Manager Load Frequency" the maximum value allowed is 35790 Customer has it set to 999999. Set the value to 9999 or anything less than 35790.
Check has been introduced in IP15 patchset 10 and IP16.
