Siebel Tools >  How to create a view in Siebel Tools

In this article we will see how to create a simple view and
associate it with a screen.
Open Siebel Web Client ,go Sitemap Accounts-> Accounts List-> Assets

Select Help -> About View to select the Applet name. It is
SIS Account Entry Applet

Open Siebel Tools, go to Project Tab.
Right click and create a new project, we will call it Practice 1.
Select Locked, add a comment (optional).

In Siebel tools, select file, New Object and View

In the next screen, enter these values


Click Next. In this screen, select View Detail and Click Next

In this screen select SIS Account Entry Applet and Asset Mgmt - Account Pick Applet.

Click Next and then Finish. The Web Layout Editor should open.
Close the Editor. You should see the View in Siebel Tools.

Select View Web Template for this view from the menu at the left.
At the right pane, you should see Base.

Select View Web Template Item and then Asset Mgmt - Account Pick Applet

In the right pane , there will be a column called Applet Mode.
Set this to Edit List if it is already not so.

Now open Siebel Web Client. We need to add this new view.
Go to Site Map, Administration Application -> Views
Click on New View and add New View 1
Click on Default Local Access field (this field should be checked).

In the Bottom panel, there will be a likst of Responsibilities.
Create a new Responsibility -> Test View Resp. Add another responsibility from the list
e.g. ALL USER RESPONSIBILITY
Add two users, SADMIN and CCHENG.
Save the record. Log out of Siebel Web Client.

In Siebel Tools, we will need to assign this view to a screen.
In Siebel Tools, select Screen and select Accounts Screen.

Lock this project ALT+L or from Menu item Tools.
In the left pane, Select Screen-> Screen View

Add a new Screen View with these fields and values.
View = New View 1
The Name field will be filled automatically.
Type = Detail View
Sequence = 1
Parent Category = Account List
Display in Page and Display in Site Map fields should be checked.
Save the record (Controls+S or Click on another Item)
Compile all checked projects in Siebel Tools.
Select the SRF from Clients -> Objects-> ENU->siebel_sia.srf and not from Tools-> Objects->ENU

After this open Siebel Web Client. Go to Sitemap ->Accounts -> Accounts List
, you should be able to see this view.
