SYMPTOMS
The Assignment Manager component in an UPGRADE environment moves to the Unavailable state after being in the Online state for about 6 seconds.

There was nothing in the Assignment column / Assignment Attribute values for Responsibility that showed Inactivated.

Too, the WF Policy Object 'Order' has the Responsibility activated.

CAUSE
1. After upgrading, the Assignment Manager component went into an 'Unavailable' state almost immediately after starting up.

The following errors were found in the asgnsrvr log:

Assignment attribute column (1-72XD3O) references invalid workflow component column (Responsibility) Assignment attribute column (1-ASQ-9YO9) references invalid workflow component column (Account DUNS Number).

These errors are similar to DocID 538020.1(SBL-ESC-00106: Error loading Attribute handle for Object Opportunity) which suggests that custom workflow policy column were configured incorrectly.

2. Another error:

SBL-ESC-00106: Error loading Attribute handle for Object Order.
Error calling function: WFObjectOpen

There were two active Assignment Objects listed for the Order Workflow Policy Object: 'Order (Sales Credit Assignment)' and 'Order'.

'Order' appeared after upgrade.

The customer confirmed that NO Assignment Attributes were associated with the Order asgn object before deactivating this in Tools > Workflow Policy Object > Assignment Objects.

SOLUTION
1. Regarding the following errors:

Assignment attribute column (1-72XD3O) references the invalid workflow component column (Responsibility)
Assignment attribute column (1-ASQ-9YO9) references the invalid workflow component column (Account DUNS Number).

Based on DocID 538020.1 (SBL-ESC-00106: Error loading Attribute handle for Object Opportunity), the wf policy columns were reviewed.

After reviewing and fixing the configuration for wf policy columns, 'Responsibility' and 'Account DUNS Number', these error were resolved.
